Immediately, Mark combined teaching alongside practice - continuing as a Visiting Teaching Fellow, University of Bath. Following a decade as fulltime senior lecturer at Plymouth School of Architecture and the founding of a private practice, he became the second Director of the Architecture Centre, Bristol before appointments for CABE and Creating Excellence. Recently, as the Executive Director of Design Action, Devon and Cornwall whilst pursuing further built projects, his current post commenced in September 2022.

Dominic has extensive experience in the Planning and Development industry originally as a Local Government Arboricultural Officer, based in planning and urban design teams. He founded Aspect Tree Consultancy in 2008, working as an independent consultant and works for a wide range of clients from national housebuilders, planning consultants and architects from land allocation to detailed layout design stages. He also teaches Arboriculture as well as being an instructor for professional tree Inspectors.

Andrew has extensive experience working in the education sector. His practice combines Architecture and Landscape design to create spaces for learners of all ages - from infants to adults. Working on all stages of design from urban planning and master planning, to technical design and delivery, he has developed related specialisms in heritage, SEND provision, and spaces for music. He is passionate about our investment in education as a driver for change in society.

Richard runs a LI Registered Practice in Cornwall that focuses on landscape planning, private gardens, historic garden restoration, country hotels, housing and rural diversification. He has been Head Judge of the SGLD Annual Awards for 14 years and a Senior Show Garden Judge for the RHS since 2013. He created the BA Garden Design at Falmouth University and was Course Leader of BA Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire. He has published three books on landscape and garden design.

With over 18 years’ experience as a Landscape Architect, Ed, an Associate Director in LUC’s Bristol Design team, brings expertise to a diverse range of projects, including grade I listed landscapes, universities, hospitals, schools, housing, film studios, and parks. Recently, Ed led the landscape design elements associated with the successful Bristol Zoo Gardens planning application. He has a passion for all things design, with a particular interest in plants and the creation of resilient landscapes.

Sophie is a Landscape Architect and Head of Public Realm at LDA Design. She has twenty years’ experience in the design and delivery of liveable streets, squares and green spaces. Currently leading the £35m West End Project, a radical transformation of public realm in central London. Other projects include Newcastle City Centre, Southsea, Covent Garden, Great Ormond, and Carnaby Street. She sits on the NLA Transport and Infrastructure Expert Panel and High Streets Task Force.

Alex is a landscape architect at LDA Design specialising in the delivery of large scale masterplanning, design and implementation projects. Much of his recent work has been within the energy sector, working on complex and high-profile projects for new nuclear, tidal, wind and solar schemes. He is a strong advocate of good design and the need for collaborative working between co-consultants and stakeholders to unlock the best possible outcomes for projects, people and the planet.

Mike is both a professional ecologist and an ecourbanist, with nearly 30 years of consultancy experience and 40 years in ecological science. He co-founded Biodiversity by Design Ltd in 2006 with the express aim of focusing on creative multifunctional ecology. Mike's key interests lie in exploring opportunities for biodiversity enhancement and ecological education in the creative gaps between Ecology and other disciplines including Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil and Structural Engineering and Art. Mike has led the ecological design of several benchmark exemplars of ecourbanism including the Athletes' Village (now East Village) Stratford for the 2012 Olympic Games and the regeneration of the Greenwich Peninsula. Mike has practiced globally in over 20 countries and published widely in relation to the ecological aspects of urban regeneration, masterplanning and design. He is an expert in innovative habitat creation including multifunctional wetlands and vegetated architecture.

Mike is a Chartered Landscape Architect, inclusive designer, university teacher and researcher, with 35 years’ career experience. His expertise covers wellbeing & green infrastructure, inclusive public realm, healing/ learning environments and participatory design. He has worked across the UK, Europe, Australia and USA. Previous appointments include Principal at a Groundwork Trust, and Programme Manager at Sensory Trust (Eden Project).
