    David is an urban designer and landscape architect designing complex urban and rural development projects of all kinds, from small residential developments to masterplans for urban extensions and new communities. His focus is on designing the movement and landscape narrative to create good places. This comes from experience in designing projects including Trafalgar Square, many high street improvements and a range of mixed use masterplans. David has worked extensively on regenerating historic towns and has prepared a number of public realm design guides and strategies. His projects include movement and urban design frameworks for urban districts, market towns, mining and seaside communities across the UK. He is a Design Council Expert and High Streets Task Force Expert.

    With a background in building services design and cost engineering, Tanya found her metier in design management with the design and construction of the Millennium Dome from 1995-1999. Since then she has led the engineering design teams for several high profile projects including the O2 Arena, the London 2012 stadium and the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Tanya currently leads a 25-person Design Project Management team at Buro Happold whilst continuing to support large, complex multi-disciplinary projects.

    Sarah has 30 years’ experience working on infrastructure projects around the world. Her expertise is focused on developing strategic approaches to healthy urban development. She has worked in diverse roles including Sustainability Advisor at consultancy Arup and Chief Resilience Officer at Bristol City Council. Since July 2018 she has been a freelance Urban Futures Consultant and Research Director at Bristol Futures Global, where she leads on digital placemaking and 5G research.

He is a highly capable projects director, used to leading, project managing and working with large inter-disciplinary design teams, mainly in Southern England.

    Mike is both a professional ecologist and an ecourbanist, with nearly 30 years of consultancy experience and 40 years in ecological science. He co-founded Biodiversity by Design Ltd in 2006 with the express aim of focusing on creative multifunctional ecology. Mike's key interests lie in exploring opportunities for biodiversity enhancement and ecological education in the creative gaps between Ecology and other disciplines including Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil and Structural Engineering and Art. Mike has led the ecological design of several benchmark exemplars of ecourbanism including the Athletes' Village (now East Village) Stratford for the 2012 Olympic Games and the regeneration of the Greenwich Peninsula. Mike has practiced globally in over 20 countries and published widely in relation to the ecological aspects of urban regeneration, masterplanning and design. He is an expert in innovative habitat creation including multifunctional wetlands and vegetated architecture.

    Charles Wilson is an Architect & Town Planner who has practiced in both private & public sectors. He previously co-designed the listed bus station at BDP, was City Architect and Planning Director at Lancaster, past chair of the CABE / Historic England Urban Panel, and was the deputy chair of Places Matter, the North West Regional Design Review service. He is current chair of strategic project review for Design West.

    Professor Alex Wright is Head of Architecture at the University of Bath. He is a graduate of the University of Bath, Cambridge University, and Harvard University, where he studied as a Harkness Fellow.  He worked in private practice for 15 years before accepting a full-time academic position in 2005.  Alex is an expert adviser to the Ministerial Advisory Group for the Department for Communities (Northern Ireland) and is Chair of the Swindon Design Review Panel for Creating Excellence.
