    Peter is an Urban Designer with experience in professional practices in South Africa and the UK. He currently works in the Masterplanning, Design and Conservation Team at Swindon Borough Council as the Senior Urban Designer. Peter specialises in providing expert advice on large-scale development projects and raises design quality through policy, negotiation, guidance, training and as an expert witness. He is a Recognised Practitioner of the Urban Design Group, and holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree, and a Masters in City Planning & Urban Design.

    Dr Lincoln Garland has been practicing as an ecologist and eco-masterplanner in environmental consultancy, academia, and for wildlife NGOs for over 30 years. He has a particular interest in eco-urbanism and has worked on many residential schemes. Lincoln recently had two chapters included in the Routledge Handbook of Urban Ecology and regularly contributes articles to the Nature of Cities web based platform. Lincoln also regularly works overseas including in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Middle-East.

    Founder and Director of Grant Associates. He was awarded the title of RSA Royal Designer for Industry in recognition of his pioneering global work in landscape architecture. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield and a member of the National Infrastructure Commission Design Group. He is Chair of the Bathscape Landscape Partnership, a member of the Bath World Heritage Site Advisory Board and co-founder of the pop up festival Forest of Imagination.

Her experience spans both the private and public sector and she has particular expertise of advising on the transport planning impacts of strategic development proposals across the south of England. Emma has worked at all stages of the planning process, from initial site feasibility through to the preparation and review of Transport Assessments and the negotiation of planning conditions and obligations.

    Rob Gregory is an award-winning architect and academic, currently responsible for design quality across the University of Bristol’s £1bn portfolio of capital projects. Over two decades Rob has maintained a permanent post as Teaching Fellow at the University of Bath, spent ten years as Senior Editor on the Architectural Review, four years on the RIBA National Awards Group, five years running the Architecture Centre’s public programme, and held consultancy roles for the Architecture Foundation, Royal Academy and British Council.

She has been invited to lecture on low carbon housing and published a number of articles on sustainability. Anja is passionate about Bristol’s built environment, vibrancy, and rich mix of culture and heritage.

    Richard is a chartered architect and town planner with over forty years’ experience. He is principal of his Bristol-based urban design consultancy, Context4D, and specialises in design guidance and negotiation, sustainability, urban design frameworks and characterisation. Formerly course leader of the MA Urban Design programme at UWE, Richard is an Academician of the Academy of Urbanism and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He co-authored ‘Shaping Neigbourhoods’ and ‘Characterising Neighbourhoods’.

Her core areas of focus are sustainable urbanism, climate resilience, TODs, co-design, design codes, healthy places, 20-minute communities and digital planning.
