    Richard is an urban designer and urban planner with extensive experience in the preparation of design strategies, development frameworks and neighbourhood plans. He has particular expertise in engaging with local communities to help shape and influence emerging spatial strategies. Richard is a visiting tutor on the architecture course at the Arts University Bournemouth and an urban design teaching fellow at the University of Southampton.

He is one of the founders and owners of Clifton Emery design – a multi-disciplinary design practice bringing together architecture, urban design, landscape design and graphic design in a collaborative design environment.

    Cormac is a Bristol-based Director Architect at the Stirling Prize winning practice, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris. Cormac leads a team working on a wide range of projects. Recently completed projects include Television Centre (London), Waverley School (Birmingham), The Fitzroy (Falmouth) and The Vincent (Bristol). Current projects include the redevelopment of Southwark Station for TfL, multiple housing schemes for Bristol City Council, a new office development for NORD in Bristol and a mix of schemes in Bristol’s emerging enterprise zone with The University of Bristol and Studio Hive.

    Jo is an experienced heritage consultant who has provided heritage and design advice and led stakeholder negotiations to facilitate a diverse range of complex developments. She has also written several Conservation Management Plans, assessing buildings and public realm, including for the National Trust. Jo worked in the southwest after completing her MSc at Bath University, joined Insall in 2011 and led the London Heritage Consultancy for five years before returning to the southwest.

She has over nine years of experience working on a range of projects from concept design, to outline planning applications and design coding as well as a range of engagement activities including co-design workshops.

    Peter is an Urban Designer with experience in professional practices in South Africa and the UK. He currently works in the Masterplanning, Design and Conservation Team at Swindon Borough Council as the Senior Urban Designer. Peter specialises in providing expert advice on large-scale development projects and raises design quality through policy, negotiation, guidance, training and as an expert witness. He is a Recognised Practitioner of the Urban Design Group, and holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree, and a Masters in City Planning & Urban Design.

    Dr Lincoln Garland has been practicing as an ecologist and eco-masterplanner in environmental consultancy, academia, and for wildlife NGOs for over 30 years. He has a particular interest in eco-urbanism and has worked on many residential schemes. Lincoln recently had two chapters included in the Routledge Handbook of Urban Ecology and regularly contributes articles to the Nature of Cities web based platform. Lincoln also regularly works overseas including in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Middle-East.

    Founder and Director of Grant Associates. He was awarded the title of RSA Royal Designer for Industry in recognition of his pioneering global work in landscape architecture. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield and a member of the National Infrastructure Commission Design Group. He is Chair of the Bathscape Landscape Partnership, a member of the Bath World Heritage Site Advisory Board and co-founder of the pop up festival Forest of Imagination.

    Emma has 19 years of experience in transport planning, focussed on development planning. Her experience spans both the private and public sector and she has particular expertise of advising on the transport planning impacts of strategic development proposals across the south of England. Emma has worked at all stages of the planning process, from initial site feasibility through to the preparation and review of Transport Assessments and the negotiation of planning conditions and obligations.
